Evennett Presents Post Office Petition

3 April 2008 No Comments Posted by: admin

David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, presented a petition to the House of Commons last night (2 April) in protest at the proposed closure of the Brampton Road Post Office.

Speaking in the Chamber, Mr Evennett said “I have pleasure in presenting a petition signed by more than 2,000 of my constituents. They are angered and concerned that their local Brampton Road sub-post office is faced with closure, and they urge Post Office management to think again”.

Mr Evennett previously raised this matter in the House of Commons during a debate on Post Offices and has tabled an Early Day Motion on the issue.
